WHEN TO GO
Peru is a year-round destination, though the experience varies considerably by season. The dry season, running from May through October, offers the most favorable conditions for visiting Machu Picchu and the highlands, with clear skies and cooler temperatures. Lima, with its coastal climate, receives visitors throughout the year. The months of September and October represent a particularly compelling window, coinciding with Arte Lima, the city's leading contemporary art fair, which draws galleries and collectors from across the region.
