WHEN TO GO
China is a year-round destination for art and culture, with several major moments that draw international attention. A key highlight is Art Basel Hong Kong, held each March, bringing together leading galleries, collectors, and institutions from around the world with exhibitions and programming across the city. In Shanghai, November features ART021 Shanghai Contemporary Art Fair and West Bund Art & Design, two of the most significant annual fairs on the mainland. Additionally, the Shanghai Biennale provides a biennial platform for large-scale contemporary exhibitions across the city. These moments offer engaging opportunities to experience the breadth and diversity of China’s art scene.
